Crime Scene Scenario #3– April 15 2019 – “It’s Tax Time”

Another Crime Scene at Penn State Wilkes-Barre – Breaking News:

On Monday, April 15, 2019, at approximately 9:00 AM it was reported that there were gunshots heard at the Tax Preparation Office located in the Modular A Building Crime Scene Scenario Lab, behind the Science Building, on the campus of Penn State Wilkes-Barre, in Lehman, PA.

911 dispatch called campus security to alert them of another incident. The responding security officer, Ira Ess discovered two victims. Each victim had a single gunshot wound to the head and multiple knife wounds. Two eyewitnesses at the scene Talon DeTrooth and Anya Honor described the tax preparation office as “terrifying.” The eyewitnesses told officer Ess that they ran into an adjoining room to avoid the violence.

The two deceased tax preparation agents are believed to be Jack Pott and Penny Wise. They had more than 20 years of combined tax preparation experience but recently filed a police report about some very angry taxpayers who came to their office last week. According to the eyewitnesses, Owen Money and his girlfriend Peyton Zaloot were loudly arguing with Jack Pott about how much they owed for the 2018 tax year, then just started firing at the agents.

On Monday morning, the Penn State Wilkes-Barre forensic photography investigative teams were called in to document the scene. Judge Bea Levit-Arnot granted a search warrant for members of the FRNAR 100 Crime Scene Photography Teams who are scheduled to arrive on April 15 by 1:20 PM. The scene will be secured and an observation area is reserved for Faculty, Staff, Other Students, Community Members, and Media Coverage. The crime scene will be processed by 2:15 PM

To join the investigation, for further information, and updates about this crime scene, please contact the campus hotline at 570-675-9159 or email jpp245@psu.edu.
