Afternoon labs included guessing the weight for dosing, mineral labels and hay samples, a simulated castration demonstration, and treatments for pink eye.
If you missed it this time, no worries - the conference always takes place on the last Saturday in January, so start planning for 2020! π

Thank you to everyone who made Pet Photos with Santa a huge success this year! Omega Tau Sigma - Lambda Chapter did a fantastic job of hosting and organizing, K&V photography generously donated their time and talent to produce these gorgeous photos, Purina provided festive pet costumes, and Santa even traveled all the way to Blacksburg for this special event. Finally, a big thanks to everyone who brought in their animal companions for photos. OTS raised close to $1200 for the Humane Society of Montgomery County, and Hillβs Pet Nutrition doubled that amount in pet food donations to Mountain View Humane! Thatβs a big dose of cheer for animals in need and the humans who support them!
Michael Nappier, assistant professor of community practice, was recognized with a Virginia Tech Excellence in Teaching Award from the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. Congratulations, Dr. Nappier! ππ
