    The conference will include two research talks "Exploration of Aversion to Unequal Outcomes" by Dr. Karen Lionello-DeNolf of Assumption College and "Early Childhood Mental Health: The Role of Caregiving & Context" by Dr. Kristyn Wong of Brown University.

  • Yesterday, the UMass Dartmouth Leduc Center for Civic Engagement celebrated 20 years of the America Read/Counts program. Community partners, local legislators, and university staff joined students at the New Bedford Ymca Southcoast and Fall River YMCA to share their stories about giving back to the community. The tutor/mentorship program has spent over 300,000 hours helping over 15,000 SouthCoast children realize their potential.

  • Scott Tingle '87 is a shining example of how there is no limit to where a UMassD degree can take you.

    After earning his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at UMassD, he received his master's degree from Purdue University. A Navy pilot, he was selected by NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration in 2009 as one of the 14 members of the 20th NASA astronaut class. Captain Tingle spent 168 days on board the International Space Station as a part of Expedition 54/55.
