  • The Student Life Center is holding an Adventure Race triathlon on Feb. 24. The race will be open to all and includes three climbs up the rock wall, three miles on a spin bike, and ten kayak laps around a course in the pool.

    Staff members have teamed up to make this race accessible for everyone and participants will receive a free T-shirt following the race. If you’re interested in participating, sign up through IMLeagues before Feb 23.

  • SUNY Cortland senior Kyle Richard joined Alabama's Nick Saban and Oklahoma's Lincoln Riley at the podium at today's Orange Bowl Coaches' Luncheon in Miami, Fla. Richard, who was shot twice after breaking up a sexual assault in 2017, received the Orange Bowl Courage Award on Friday afternoon. He will also attend tomorrow's game, which airs at 8 p.m. on ESPN.

  • 20 years ago on Christmas Day, Kerri Dinsmore '13 survived a life-threatening brain hemorrhage thanks to the quick thinking of Dr. Jeffrey Oppenheim. Dinsmore's mother, Diane Umstetter M '87, calls it a "Christmas miracle."

    Dinsmore, who majored in community health, is a nurse in the burn unit at Westchester Medical Center. Her career choice was inspired in part by the wonderful care she got two decades ago.
