  • Long before he became Texas A&M's 16th president in 1959, James Earl Rudder led Army Rangers on what seemed like an impossible task on June 6, 1944: scaling 90-foot cliffs in Normandy that were defended by German troops.

    Today marks the 75th anniversary of the D-Day Invasion, where Rudder and his Rangers successfully secured those cliffs at Pointe du Hoc.

  • An Aggie Ring has been to the moon!

    Gerry Griffin '56 served as NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Flight Director for all of the Apollo Missions. In 1969, Apollo 12 astronaut Pete Conrad took Griffin's ring along when he became the third man to walk on the moon.

    In 2018, Griffin donated the ring to Texas A&M, where it is on display in the new Zachry Engineering Complex!
