Currently, I am working on a study for 4-6 year olds who don't get enough sleep. This research aims to better understand interactions between sleep, brain maturation, and emotional development. Our subjects get an MRI scan of their brain before and after their participation in our study, and I was our first subject! This is my (cell)fie with the scan of my brain, SO COOL. I (lobe) my research and am so grateful to be part of this awesome hippo(campus)!” #WomenInScience #February11 Photo credit: Instagram wise_cu

Here I am showing a material that incorporates dynamic covalent chemistry to program materials post-polymerization. If you look closely you can see an image of a CU Buff that I programmed into the film by shining light through a photomask of the image. We use these chemistries to develop materials for optics and soft robotic applications.” #WomenInScience #February11

One of the key factors in searching for life on other planets is looking for places that can support liquid water. I do laboratory studies simulating the Martian environment to study the interaction of water vapor with surfaces, in the hopes of determining if liquid water can form on the surface of Mars.” #WomenInScience #February11
