    Dr. Sheree Dickenson's poster presentation describes her mixed-methods study on a noted author's clinical judgement model to evaluate clinical judgement of ASN students through reflective journaling and identify perceptions of the student’s reflective journaling experiences.

    Ms. Lisa Jenkins and Dr. Belinda Gilbert’s poster presentation describes their research entitled "Increasing Knowledge to Change Attitudes Towards Concept-Based Learning.”

    Dr. Andrea Dozier’s podium presentation will recap her research entitled "Investigation of Nursing Faculty Teacher Efficacy in Nursing Schools in Georgia".

  • Lauryn Hill’s 1998 debut solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill turned 20 years young in 2018. Hill’s provocative dissertation, as it is often referred to it as, has served as blueprint for two decades of emcees, as well as, a pedagogical guidebook for teacher-student dialogue. Hill’s work discusses much about the present and past American/Global landscape and opens the door for this year’s first summit dialogue.


    This conference seeks essays/papers, panels, performances, or poster board presentation that relate to any aspect the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill as an album, or as a springboard for a larger discussion of societal issues. Subjects may include, but are not limited to: literature, demographics, history, politics, economics, education, health care, fine arts, religion, social sciences, business and many other subjects



    Each presenter will have 15-20 minutes for paper presentations or 45-minutes for roundtable discussions and workshops on targeted issues or topics. Other formats (i.e., ethnodrama, performance, poetry, autoethnography, and fiction) are welcome as well. Artists (emcees, deejays, B-boys and B-girls, spoken word, etc.) are encouraged to send in proposals to be included in this year’s summit. All proposals/abstracts should include your name, your institutional-affiliated, contact information, including email address and phone number.


    Send 200-300 word abstract for papers, round tables, and other formats via email to: andre.johnson@asurams.edu to the attention of CTE STAFF.

    The deadline for this call is February 28, 2019.

    artist who became famous for her colorful paintings in yarn which tell stories from her life. She has published two books, "Georgia Farm Life in the '40's (2001)" and "What Color is Water: Growing up Black in a Segregated South (2018)". You can see her work in person at Artisans on the Square in Greenville, Georgia until March 30.

  • The ASU Police Department go above and beyond for our Golden Rams. Security Corporal Lefevre Jordan stayed to help a student who was locked out of her car last night, even though his shift was over. He made sure the student was out of the cold in the PD lobby while he worked to gain access to her car. The student was able to get into her car and she returned home safely. Thank you to Security Corporal Lefevre Jordan!
